This time we all had to make a presentation and you could choose from the following subjects: literature, music, design, movies, theatre and architecture.
Well, I'm working together with Laurie and our subject is Design. Because we are really into fashion, and especially Laurie, we've asked our teacher if we could do our presentation about fashion only. He said that it was okay, so basically our presentation will be about fashion.

We are already done with everything, and we are actually ready to do our presentation. But because of certain circumstances we are going to do it after the holiday.

STOP MOTION
We've got to make a new assignment, since our interview is already finished. We (kamali , Cheryl and I) already thought about an assignment. It's not going to be a normal 5 paged long report but something creative. We are going to make a little stop motion film. And because we are interested in fashion, our subject is fashion.
We have already been brainstorming about the stopmotion. Asked ourself questions like:
What will be the message?
What's the duration?
How much time will it take?
What kind of information will be in there?
etc.
We can't underestimate this little subject, because we know it's not going to be easy. It will take a lot of time, and especially a lot of pictures.. My friend Kamali made a little example of a stopmotion, she had made 40 pictures and it was only 8 seconds long..
But we will work very hard on it, maybe this weekend already.

Preparations for the interview
We have already planned a date for the interview. The interview with Karida van Bochove is going to be held on wednesday the 21st of September. It's going to be an interview with lots of pictures, pictures of her work from the art academie. We also had to choose an example interview so we could have an idea of how our interview will look like. Our example interview is from the Glamour Magazine.

Last week we had to prepare an interview. I'm working together with Cheryl and kamali.
The interview has to be with someone who has something to do with art. We have chosen to interview Karida van Bochove, who is Kamali's sister. She is a student at 'Willem de Koning'. It's an art acedemie.
We prepared 20 questions for the interview:
1. What's your name?
2. What's your age?
3. Where do you live? Have you lived anywhere else before?
4. Which study/ies have you done and what are you doing now?
5. Do you have any siblings?
6. Can you describe your personality in 3 words?
7. Do you think your study is challenging you enough?
8. Why have you chosen for this kind of study?
9. What do you like the most about your study?
10. Who is your rolemodel?
11. What is art to you?
12. Can you describe your style?
13. What's your advice to anyone who want's to do the same as you do?
14. What's your ultimate goal for the future?

17. If you necessarily had to change from direction, which way would you go?

Where should I go?
Hiiiii
I've had my first real assignment for Art and cultural orientation, better known as CKV. We got a kind of booklet with lots of events, such as festivals, movies, musicals etc. Our assignment that day was to choose one of those events you would like to go and one you absolutely didn't want to go. Of course with a description of why you would like to go to that place or why not.
At first I had no idea where to go. There were so many options to chose from. But in the end I found 2 events.
~ A Haute Couture fashion show named "Thaumazoo"
~ A Japanese cultural festival named "Camera Japan"
The fashion show really attracted me because I've always wanted to see a fashion show in real life. But somehow I wasn't fully persuaded.
Then a friend, KAMALI , talked me about a Japanese movie she had seen, and that she defenitely wanted to go to Camera Japan. I realised that I really love the Japanese culture.The event sounded so interesting and fun. It made me curious. So eventually I've chosen for Camera Japan and I'm probably going with my friend Kamali.
The festival is in Lantarenfenster from the 22th till the 25th of September.
Like I've already said, I also had to choose one event I didn't want to go. This was pretty easy, because there was one event which really stood out to me. It's called 'Bonte avond en bodybuildershow'. It's held in the Ro theater
Why I don't want to go to this event is because I would feel pretty awkward I think. I mean, I just don't belong in those sort of events. It's absolutely not interesting to me.
Can you see me already? Sitting in the middle of a bunch of bodybuilder fans and supporters. No.
It's not like I disrespect them or something. I've got a lot of respect! Actually my cousin even participated in a bodybuilder contest (he became 2nd, big shout out!). I've seen him going on a diet and it looks very difficult. So of course I've respect for them, a lot!
That's it. I'm looking forward for the Japanese cultural festival!

Welcome to my CKV blog
Sooo...
Hi!, Let's tell something about myself. My name is Tessa Nguyen, I'm a 15 year old student from Einstein Lyceum, and I live in Hoogvliet Rotterdam.
This is my CKV blog for school. I'm going to post about art, cultural stuff, and what I have to do for this subject. It's not something I just randomly wanted to do, but I have to do this for school. For CKV I'm going to visit musicals, runway shows, movies, musea etc. I think that's pretty nice because I never do such things. Well, not recently I mean. It's kinda different but I'll enjoy this (I hope).
